James Bausch is holding a Question Time on Intern Programs. To submit a question you must post the question on your own blog and then trackback to his blog.
I suspect that a lot of people who could benefit from an intern program put off starting one because they don't think that anyone would sign up.
So here's my question:
James,
What are some indicators that you have reached a point where you could start a successful intern program?

Update 7/18/2007: James did use my question. It did not win. His answer to my question was very good I thought. However he, or his interns, did not approve more than half the trackbacks to the questions submitted: there were 16 questions submitted, however the original post, (no longer) linked above, only shows 6 trackbacks. I think this is bad. If someone goes to the trouble to post a question on their blog for one of James question times, James, or his interns should at least approve and show that trackback on his blog - this is even more important if he uses the question. James still uses NoFollow Tags on his blog, so it's not going to give any SEO benefit to the submitter, but it would pick up some human traffic, which is probably more important!
The winner was Jon Symons whose blog is: www.artofmoney.org. No word yet as to the prize he won.
