Grapes on the vine... 2 of My Tips for Better Article Marketing using ArtemisPro... (Photo Copyright by Lee Hinshaw use without permission prohibited, see Footer for Link)

Article Marketing is the process of writing and submitting articles to web sites, eZines, Magazines, etc. with the intention of generating traffic back to your web site. This is one of the best traffic generation methods you can use because it's cheap, brings quality traffic and also builds links back to your site which helps with your site's placement in search engines.

ArtemisPro is a great product for automating the process of submitting these articles. It can submit articles to its own internal list of sites, as well as to your own external list that you build yourself. This is one of ArtemisPro's main benefits; the other is that it generates unique articles from your input to avoid duplicate content penalties. It's important to note that ArtemisPro does not attempt to rewrite your content; you can feed it up to three versions of your article and as many versions of your resource box (the "about the author" stuff that should contain one and only one link back to your site) and it systematically creates unique versions from the original articles and resource boxes.

Here's my 1st tip:
Put 20 to 25 entries in your external file using your own email address. This will cause ArtemisPro to email you 20 to 25 unique versions of your article. You can then save these in a folder in your mail program and use them for manual submissions to sites, eZines, etc. you may come across after you've already sent the article out without having to worry about duplicate content.

Here's my 2nd tip:
ArtemisPro uses text files for input. These text files must be formatted in particular ways. I created a program that I use to simplify creating these files. It makes it quicker and easier and that makes me write articles more often. I also sell this product if you'd like to make your article submission process more enjoyable, streamlined, and efficient. Fred,

    I wrote a tool awhile back to tackle tip 1 without emailing it to myself... If you want a copy let me know. I have been thinking about giving it away.

    Also love the PreProcessor, I use it for every article submission!

    Fred, I've tried Artemis Lite several times with a unique pen name, and after 2 months, I've not seen one article indexed by any search engine. Where are these articles being posted? I can post an article on ezine or affiliated and get indexed in a week.

    What do you think? Is the pro version better?

    Carl;
    I don't remember what the restrictions are on the lite version. I'd get the full pro version. Try searching on James Brausch's blog (the link is the the right column in the blogroll section) to see if you can find an entry where he talks about the lite version.

    Hi Fred,

    I have a question for you about Article Marketing.

    How often do you submit articles pointing to your blog or sales pages? What have you found has been most effective: Every day? Every other day? Every week? Did you start off with an article every day then taper off gradually?

    Just curious about your frequency since your blog seems to be doing very well.

    Great content!

    Thanks,

    James Lee

    Hi Fred,

    Regarding my last comment, just to be clear, I meant using Artemis Pro of course.

    Thanks again,

  6. From Fred...

    Hi James;
    Thanks for stopping by my blog.
    I don't have any set frequency. I have to admit that I don't submit articles as often as I should or as often as I used to. You should submit them as often as you can. But, make sure that the people on your external list (if using Artemis Pro) want to receive them as often as you're sending them... otherwise they'll probably consider them spam. All in all, I think once or twice a week is a good pace. If you try to do too much you'll burn out and stop doing it.

    That's a great idea, having 20-25 copies of the articles the software processes. My only issue with the software was finding article sites that take articles by email, since many of them now want you to log in and use their form. But having different versions of the articles would make even that a whole lot more effective, as you could use a slightly different variation every time! Good idea, and thanks for the tip!

    Hey Nick!
    Thanks for the comment. I'm glad I could help.
