Flowers Grow when they're Happy!

May 7, 2009

A Happy Flower!

My son Walker, who is 4, laid some words of wisdom on me today. It's funny how I've read book after book on things like success and the Law of Attraction only to have it all summed up by a four year old in five words: "Flowers grow when they're happy".

Another Happy Flower!

We were walking around the yard after looking at some small flower pots we'd planted some seeds in a while back. I was wondering why some hadn't sprouted and why we didn't label the pots so that we'd know what was actually growing in them. He didn't say anything for a few minutes, which is unusual, and then he said "Flowers grow when they're happy". Just like that... all those books I read summed up in 5 words!

So, Joe Vitale, you didn't need to write all those books... just tell people to be a happy flower and they'll grow and bloom!

Things I'm working on:

Judy Miller: "How I Did it"

Judy Miller, RSVP Communications

Judy Miller, RSVP Communications

I'm editing a presentation (video) of Judy Miller of RSVP Communications which I'll post as a FREE video here on this blog in the next day or so. Trust me; you don't want to miss this video. She shares so much wisdom in this presentation it's invaluable. Judy grew RSVP Communications from nothing, and I mean nothing to a very successful company. When I say that Judy started out with nothing, I mean it: divorced with two children, a sick mother to take care of, a borrowed desk and chair, and a typewriter.

Eric Graham Interview

Eric Graham

Eric Graham, www.ConversionDoctor.com

I interviewed Eric a while back and thought the interview had been lost forever. My video camera broke so we used his. I left him a small external hard drive to ship the file back to me when he pulled it off of his camera. He did. But when I received the drive, it did not work. Eric didn't keep a copy of the interview either. I was really upset because it was a great interview, Eric talked about so many things that people need to know to actually succeed in this business. I tried everything I could think of to get the drive to work (took it out of the case, tried it on various PCs, tapped on it, turned it in various orientation, killed a few chickens while chanting... ok, that last one was a joke). Weeks went by. I finally started looking at web sites for data recovery companies, but I was concerned that the drive didn't even spin up.

So I took it out of the box one last time. Plugged it in, and it worked! No errors, no problems. And it's worked ever since. I thought I was out of the woods. But when I started editing the video, I had no audio. Now before you think I don't know anything about computer, video, audio, etc. I do, this is what I do. A few more weeks and I finally got the audio working, but it was out of sync. By the end of the video, it looked like a Japanese monster movie! A few more weeks of work and I had a perfect video!

You're probably thinking I'm crazy to put so much effort into saving the interview. Trust me, it was worth the trouble. When you see the finished DVD you'll agree! This will be the first interview in a series I'm launching soon. While I finish up the DVD I've sent a few "rough cut" copies to some of my blogging friends to get their feedback and I'm sure they'll agree that it contains a TON of information that could literally make the difference between someone failing or just barely making it in an internet business to someone making money, a lot of money!

When I release it, I will offer the DVD at a substantial discount, for a limited time, to my list, so if you're not signed up, sign up now! Use the form at the end of this post, or in the top of the right column and sign up.

Want to get it FREE? Then sign up. I'm going to post some information soon about how you can get a copy free, even two copies free! So, pay attention - the best way to pay attention is to sign up to my list so that you don't miss a single post!

Until next time,
Fred

Yes that is quite the quote that your son threw out there. He sounds like an intelligent young man. I definitely agree that you need to be happy to be truly successful.

Good job saving the interview from your hard drive. I get headaches just thinking about trying to fix computer hardware problems. Luckily I haven't had to do any of that stuff in a while.
